Lions International recognizes outstanding individuals by bestowing on them an award that is named for its founder, Melvin Jones. This Fellowship Award (LCIF) is the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism. The recipient of this award becomes a model because of the exemplary service to his club and the community for which it serves. The Club has presented 18 of these awards in our 75 years of service.
Lion Bert Marissen has been a Club member since 2000 & has been a very active member since he joined. If help is needed this Lion will always be there for the Club. He has assisted in many of the Clubs committees & events.
Lion Bill King has been a Club member since 2011 and he too has been a very active member since he joined. He always seems to be around the BBQ when needed, especially for the minor Club events that need only a couple of members. He also cooks breakfast the mornings of our Carnival. He marshal’s our two parades we have each year, not a very nice job for our Santa parade this year.
